Benefits of yoga

Even though the first exercises of hatha yoga are easy to perform and they are done in a very soft and peaceful manner, usually the effects can be perceived already after the first time of practice. The effects that are perceived as the first ones, are among others deeper relaxation and increased vitality, serenity and joy. .

The most well known effect of yoga is certainly increased flexibility and strengthening of the body. It is inevitable that the body of a person who is practicing yoga, becomes gradually flexible and supple. In the oriental physiology, the stiffness of the spine and the joints is considered as the origin of aging and decay.

Flexibility is however only a first step on the path of yoga. After that there is coming a more and more deepening and sharpening consciousness regarding one's one existence and the strengthening of being present. The senses are becoming more sharp and they are expanding. You start to perceive the surroundings as being richer and more multidimensional that before. As the laws of the mind are becoming more familiar to you, there will be space for the peace of mind - the inner dialog is calming down and it is easier to change your thoughts into positive ones. Also it will be easier to observe your own action and to transform it.

By practicing yoga regularly and continuously, you are able to have an ever deepening affect on the original causes of health and diseases and thus to achieve a permanent healing at all the levels: in the body, in the psyche, in the mind and in the soul.
